Websites for information are valuable. They inform folks about life and death issues as well as not so drastic issues.
But websites for information are not designed to get a response from visitors viewing their sites. And more than likely, such websites have no strategy to drive traffic to their sites. So, they float, largely untouched, as libraries of valuable information in the vast cyber ocean.
But information of great value should be shared with others. Floating content in the cyber ocean is not sharing. It is floating in a universe of its own empty space. Its contents are unknown to the world and thus unshared.
The value of your content determines the effort you should put into sharing it with the world. If it is of little value, then share it small group of people. If it is of global value, then share with the world.
